Unable to update messages when upgrading VA from 5.1.2 to 5.2

When upgrading the VA from version 5.1.2 to 5.2 the upgrade progress has been observed to time-out resulting in ‘Unable to update’ messages that are actually false. Example screenshots of messages below:

Do NOT power down the appliance until you have determined whether the update is still in-progress

  1. If these messages are encountered you can monitor when the upgrade has finished via the command line interface (CLI).

  2. Remote SSH into the appliance and log in using the root account.

  3. Leave the SSH session active. The session will be disconnected when the appliance is rebooted at the end of the update, or you may confirm if the Yum update is in-progress by using the following command: ps -ef | grep [y]um

    If you any output is returned then the update is still in-progress.

Once the appliance has rebooted, check that it has been successfully updated to version 5.2
