It is posisble to exclude folders during an ABMR recovery when these folders have been backed up by the Avamar backup server.
To do this, load the ABMR recovery ISO and setup the recovery
In the Start Recovery Window, modify the ‘Avamar extract options’ to specify the folder/s to exclude during recovery
An example of the command could include mulitply locations:
–exclude=/mnt/slash/folder/folder** --exclude=/mnt/slash/home/data**
the two * e.g. “**” will specify not to recover the ‘data’ folder and any subfolder underneath it.
Run through the rest of the recovery as per the guide.
