CoBMR Block-Based vmdk flat file

When recovering to a vSphere environment using CoBMR for a Block-Based DR recovery it is important to understand how vSphere sees the vmdk disk that is imported. This disk is the Cristie recovery environment, not the target disk to be recovered.

vSphere disks use two files, the disk file itself and a descriptor-file that points to the disk.

Both files (the actual disk file and descripter file) must be downloaded and placed in the same directory before importing into the target system.

Full instructions on importing disks and using CoBMR Block-Based recoveries can be found in the runbook
